There's a crispness in the air, and the leaves are changing, an here at RUPCO, we're getting ready for our annual Community Lunch event! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 9th, 11:30 AM, at the Chateau located at 240 Boulevard, Kingston NY.
We are excited to welcome back our friends, family, and supporters this fall for Mike Kingsella's, CEO of Up For Growth, talk “Solving New York’s Housing Underproduction™.” Up for Growth is a national, cross-sector member network committed to solving the housing shortage and affordability crisis through data-driven research and evidence-based policy. Their approach to addressing the nationwide housing crisis includes forming diverse partnerships to identify, assess, and share promising policy opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels; co-create solutions that address local barriers and drivers of housing underproduction; and advance housing policies and practices rooted in racial equity drive housing choice and affordability.
Presentation by Mike Kingsella
Mike Kingsella is the Chief Executive Officer of Up for Growth. Prior to forming Up for Growth, Mike founded and served as Executive Director of Oregon Smart Growth, where he helped lead advocacy for a series of housing production bills across the state. He holds a B.S. in Community Development from the Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, and has worked in housing since 2003.

We're excited to announce our 2022 "Community Partner Award" recipients
Harambee
RUPCO's proud to present "Community Partner Award" at our upcoming Community Lunch on November 9th to Harambee. Harambee is a mid-Hudson valley coalition that supports and promotes the strength of our community through cultural and educational events that enrich the lives of youth and adults. Harambee is a force in Ulster County that has created programs to educate people on African Culture and Arts that also serves as stewards of the Pine Street African Burial and Grounds and Bringing the Light program to Kingston High School.
Dennis Doyle, Director of Ulster County Planning
RUPCO's proud to present the "Community Partner Award" at our upcoming Community Lunch on November 9th to Dennis Doyle. Mr. Doyle has served as Ulster County Planning Director since 2004. Because of his outstanding leadership and commitment to community planning have contributed to affordable housing, critical infrastructure and many essential community needs in Ulster County.
