FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYER FUNDING AVAILABLE IN ULSTER COUNTY

RUPCO has funding available to assist low-income first-time homebuyers in purchasing a home in Ulster County! There are two separate grants that can assist with down payment and closing costs and renovations. A RUPCO counselor will assist homebuyer in navigating homebuying process. Some exclusions apply. GUARANTEED INCOME FOR ARTISTS AND ARTIST EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS 

Exciting news! Creatives Rebuild New York opened applications for their Guaranteed Income for Artists and Artist Employment programs. Guaranteed Income for Artists will provide no-strings, monthly cash payments to 2,400 artists across New York State, and the Artist Employment Program will support 300 New York State artists who will be employed by New York State community-based organizations.

FREE VIRTUAL EVENT FOR LANDLORDS TO LEARN ABOUT SECTION 8 

Join us for a virtual informational session for all the details in what being a Housing Choice (Section 8) Landlord is all about! 

Get detailed information about all the benefits the program provides and how you can participate! 

This event is free and chalked full of good information and support for Landlords.

 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR LANDLORDS IS AVAILABLE

The Landlord Assistance Program (LAP) can provide grant funds of up to $15,000 per unit to assist with qualified repairs, fiscal distress, and back rent for eligible rental units available for landlords NOW available to Landlords in Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties. 

 

APARTMENTS WITH SECTION 8 SUBSIDY AT BIRCHES AT CHAMBERS ARE AVAILABLE

Affordable housing opportunity for seniors! The Birches at Chambers has two vacant units that include a rental subsidy through Project-Based Vouchers. Located at 300 Maple Lane in Kingston, the Birches is a community for seniors 62+ that provides residents with a supportive community.

THE GREENE COUNTY SECTION 8 WAITLIST IS OPEN

Looking for rental assistance in Greene County? You might qualify for the Section 8 Greene County program. The waitlist is currently open and accepting applicants. Applications must be submitted: By mail or hand-delivery to RUPCO, 175 Water Street, Catskill, NY 12414.

 

NEWBURGH YOUTHBUILD IS OPEN AND ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE ENROLLMENT!

This new local program will provide high school equivalency, construction, and nursing training to youth ages 16-24 from the City of Newburgh. Participants will learn employable skills with on the job training.

Recruiting is ongoing with classes starting on a rolling basis. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in the Newburgh YouthBuild program, please call us at 845-219-1209 or fill out an application today!  

FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYER INFORMATION SESSION APRIL 20 AT 5:30PM

Ready to buy your first home but don’t know where to start? This virtual, First-time Homebuyer Information Session outlines the RUPCO's HomeOwnership Center’s Homebuyer Program and the path to homeownership.

This is a recommended first step before you formally apply for the Homebuyer Counseling Program. Call 845-331-9860 or email Homeownership@rupco.org to register today!

 

ASSISTANCE FOR HOMEOWNERS AFFECTED BY HURRICANE IDA

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) is providing grant funding to homeowners who suffered damage due to Hurricane Ida and who need to make emergency repairs in order to safely reoccupy their homes.
