RUPCO AWARDED $500,000 GRANT TO REVITALIZE THE CITY OF KINGSTON BROADWAY CORRIDOR 

In conjunction with the City of Kingston, RUPCO has become the recipient of a $500,000 New York Main Street Grant (NYMS) state grant from NYS Homes and Community Renewal (NYSHCR) to revitalize businesses and housing along the Broadway business corridor of the City of Kingston.  A community presentation will be conducted and applications will be made available in early 2023.

 
 
 

FAITH MOORE IS OFF TO HARVARD!

Faith Moore, RUPCO's Vice President of Operations & Strategy and RDAC’s Executive Director, was recently admitted to Neighborworks America's prestigious Acheiving Excellence Program. This prestigious program is offered offered in collaboration with Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

FORGE PROJECT HOSTS GENTRIFICATION DISCUSSION AT THE KIRKLAND 

Earlier this month, RUPCO hosted the second installment of Forge Project NY's Gentrification is Colonialism series. “Housing & Colonizing Architecture” focused on the ways in which architecture itself, including but not limited to public or government housing, is a tool of the colonial project in the United States and Canada.

 

#JOGGER JOHN

We want to remember long time Woodstock Common resident and local legend, John Synan, known to everybody as Jogger John, who recently passed away.  John was the subject of the film "First Name: Jogger, Last Name: John" that premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival in 2013. 
Rest in Peace, John. You infected everyone with your exuberance & wonderful spirit and will be missed.

THANKSGIVING GIVING WITH PEOPLES PLACE ULSTER COUNTY

We enjoyed partnering with The People's Place 'Talking Turkey' program, which fed 66 Thanksgiving meals to our Landmark Place residents. Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers who delivered dinner with all the trimmings, in the cold with the biggest and kindest smiles.

THE GREENE COUNTY SECTION 8 WAITLIST IS OPEN AND HAS NEW INCOME LIMITS

Looking for rental assistance in Greene County? You might qualify for the Section 8 Greene County program. The waitlist is currently open and accepting applicants. Applications must be submitted: By mail or hand-delivery to RUPCO, 175 Water Street, Catskill, NY 12414.

 

HOMEBUYER FUNDING AVAILABLE IN ULSTER, ORANGE AND SULLIVAN COUNTIES

RUPCO has funding available to assist low-income first-time homebuyers in purchasing a home in Ulster, Orange and Sullivan Counties! There are several different grants that can assist with down payment and closing costs and renovations. A RUPCO counselor will assist homebuyer in navigating homebuying process. Some exclusions apply.
